“Sacris Pulso” is a symbolic journey of return, of memory and of imagination. The film re-constructs another film titled “Brasiliarios” (dir. Basi and Porto, 1985), which marks the encounter of my mother (who plays Clarice Lispector) and my father (who composed the films’ original music). In “Sacris Pulso”, through the juxtaposition of a series of found 8mm footage weaved with the iconic images of “Brasiliarios”, I narrate this subjective journey of a cathartic return to my genesis.
